Paul Martin Robbins

Paul Martin Robbins, 80, passed away Nov. 2, 2018 at Suncoast Hospice Woodside Center in Clearwater, Fla. after a year-long battle with bone cancer.

Paul, also known as "Robbie," was born in Detroit, Mich. on March 13, 1938. Paul worked for 38 years at MichCon in Detroit and later at Great Lakes Gas Transmission in Cloquet, Minn. He was a military veteran who served in the U.S. Air Force 1960-1964 and, after moving to Cloquet in 1972, served two years with the Duluth Air National Guard.

Paul and his wife Sharron retired to Clearwater in 2014, where he enjoyed the sunshine and year-round golfing.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sharron Robbins; daughter Wendy Schelin (Jeff); grandchildren Sierra Robbins (James Line), Bo Waletzko and Jasmine Waletzko; and great-grandson Aeon Line.

Burial service with an Honor Guard Salute will be held Nov. 29, 2018 at Bay Pines National Cemetery in St. Petersburg, Fla.

Orville Jerome Berg

Orville Jerome Berg, 79, of Duluth, Minn., died Saturday, Nov. 10, in

Inter-Faith Care Center. Orville was quite a character and while he had little formal education, he donated whatever his life savings remained at the time of his death to the University of North Dakota for scientific research.

Ronald Evan Fischer, 48, of Cloquet, Minn. died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2018. A Mass of Christian Burial was scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 26 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in LeCenter, Minn. Following the Mass, a light lunch will be served in St. Mary’s Social Hall.

Emma Faith Abernathey, 17, of Proctor, Minn., died Saturday, Nov. 10. Visitation and a service of remembrance was scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 15 at Bell Brothers Funeral Home in Duluth.

Karen R. Dahlmeier, 78, Moose Lake, Minn. died Saturday, Nov. 10, at Mercy Hospital. No services will be held. Inurnment will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery.

Dale Arthur Johnson, 72, Wrenshall, Minn. died Nov. 5, 2018 in his home. A memorial service was scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 14 at Sonlife Community Church in Wrenshall with military honors provided by Cloquet Combined Honor Guard.

David Allen McCorison, 56, of Sturgeon Lake,Minn. died Friday, Nov. 9 in his home. Visitation: 3 p.m. until the 5 p.m. funeral, Friday, Nov. 16, at Atkins Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St., Cloquet, Minn. A time for dinner and fellowship will follow in the Fireside Room of the funeral home. In honor of Dave, the family requests everyone wear flannel.

LaMae Lawrencle, 88, of Carlton, Minn. died Monday, Nov. 12, at the Inter-Faith Care Center. Visitation: 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Saturday, Nov. 17 at Nelson Funeral Care, 1004 Cloquet Ave., Cloquet, Minn. Interment at Old Calvary Cemetery.
