Recount doesn’t change a thing

Carlton County Auditor Paul Gassert said the hand recount of the District 4 Carlton County Commissioner race resulted in exactly the same ballot count as the election night vote, which means Mark Thell will be the new District 4 Commissioner starting in January.

Carlton county board chairwoman Susan Zmyslony had officially requested the recount for the District 4 race after results showed Thell upsetting her by just 16 votes.
