Louise Theresa Martin

1922-2018

On Nov. 13, 2018, Louise Theresa (DelZotto) Martin, 95, of Cloquet, Minn., went to sleep and woke up in Heaven. Formerly of Wrenshall, Minn., Louise was born on Dec. 23, 1922, to John and Eugenia DelZotto. She was born in Duluth and raised in Gary, New Duluth. She was united in marriage on Dec. 6, 1943 to Edward Martin until his death in 2000. Over the years, Louise loved to volunteer at the Cloquet Hospital and her church, Saint Francis Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Italian-American Club and the VFW Club. She enjoyed dancing and spending time with her family and many, friends. She will be greatly missed.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, John and Eugenia Delzotto; her husband, Edward; children, Carol and Rick; and siblings, Fred, Art, and Evaristo. She is survived by children, Karen Martin, Glenn (Dee) Martin, Janet (Howard) Hutto, nine grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, one sister, Lydia, and many nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be Friday, Nov. 30, 2018 at Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet from 5-7 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 6:30 p.m. The visitation will resume on Saturday, Dec. 1 from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral service also at Nelson Funeral Care. A luncheon and time of fellowship will follow.
