Obituary: Rosemary Levaque Conner

Rosemary Levaque Conner, 97, of Cloquet, Minn. died five days before her 98th birthday, on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 in Inter-Faith Care Center, Carlton.

She was born April 1, 1921 in Cloquet, the daughter of Alfred and Ennis Levaque. Rosemary was a 1939 graduate of Cloquet High School and graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College.

Rosemary was a teacher in many area schools. Music was Rosemary’s passion. She touched many people with her God-given musical abilities by singing and playing the organ at many area churches and for many events. Rosemary will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and her love of animals. She was always helping the less fortunate and donating to many charities.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, David Oist; and husbands John “Chic” Oist and Howard Conner.

Rosemary is survived by her children, Linda Oist Erickson of Cloquet, Michelle (Ralph) Bober of Brookston, and Michael (Linda) Conner of Cloquet; grandchildren Jennifer, Sandra, Terry, Christine, James, Hannah, Marissa and Matthew; and great-grandchildren Ashley, Brandon, Elise, Katelyn and Parker.

Visitation: 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. memorial service Monday, April 1 in Atkins-Northland Funeral Home, Cloquet. Inurnment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Cloquet.
