Volunteers treated at hospital brunch

Community Memorial Hospital CEO Rick Breuer was one of many servers at the annual Volunteer Brunch May 8. Pictured from left are LouAnn Grandstrand, Breuer, Kathy Ziells and Joan Poupore. Both Grandstand and Ziells work in the gift shop at CMH, while Poupore works at the front desk and is the banker for the gift shop.

The tables were turned at the annual "Volunteer Brunch" at Community Memorial Hospital in Cloquet earlier this month. As volunteers got to relax and enjoy music and a program, department heads from the hospital and Sunnyside Health Care Center served frittatas with cottage fries and salad with mimosas, fresh raspberries and dessert.

Volunteer coordinator Jennifer Stay said there are about 100 volunteers between hospital and care center. They help in a variety of ways, including working in the gift shop, providing greeting and wayfinding assistance at the front desk, and hand massage for nur...
