Tomhave faces stiff competition at State tennis

Despite a spring in which it appeared winter snows and early season rain would never let up, the Cloquet Lumberjack boys tennis team had a solid showing and one particular player, Peter Tomhave, had an exceptional year by qualifying for last week’s Minnesota State High School League Boys Tennis Tournament for the second year in a row.

“At times this spring it seemed we were never going to be able to play,” explained coach Derek Johnson. “We just didn't know what to expect for anyone on the team because we probably had only 10 practices due to the severity of the weather.”
