Steven Ray Martin
Steven Ray Martin, 63, died peacefully,surrounded by his family, on Oct. 14, 2018 at Lakeland Medical Center in St. Joseph, Mich.
Steve was born on Nov. 23, 1954, in Cook County, Ill., to Janet and Arthur Martin. He graduated from Cloquet High School and went into the construction trades. Steve married Vickie Cora on April 24, 1983. They were residing in Waukesha, Wis., at the time of his death. Steve was a lover of life. He loved God and his family more than anything. He loved to fish, hunt and build things. His heart was in mission service and he went on many mission projects to share his love of God and use his construction skills.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Janet (Vaineo) Martin.
Steve is survived by his father, Arthur; his wife, Vickie; children Sandra Winkie, Jerry (Michelle), Blake (Erica), Jonathan (Hannah) and Andrew; siblings Dave (Debi), Deborah (John) Hoban, and Kevin, Craig, Jeff and Andrea Hanek; eight grandchildren; and many other young people he included as part of his family.
Celebration of Life: 1 p.m. interment at the Pine River Cemetery on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, followed by a gathering at 2 p.m. at the home of Arthur Martin, 3959 Highway 33 North in Cloquet. Family and friends are welcome to attend both.
