Julianne “Julie” (Sanda) Dennison, 74, recently passed away unexpectedly in her home in Miami Beach, Fla.

Julie was born June 19, 1945, in Cloquet, Minn. to Toivo and Helen Sanda.

She graduated from Cloquet High School and attended the University of Minnesota. She married David Dennison and together they lived in Africa, France, and all over the United States.

Julie was an avid reader and a gifted writer, but she also stepped away from the pages and lived an extraordinary life. Among her many accomplishments, Julie was a flight attendant with American Eagle for 19 years, an ordained ELCA minister with a Master of Divinity degree, an English teacher in China, a world traveler who spoke four languages, and a trained massage therapist. In her later years, she became a fixture on the Chicago storytelling scene while also taking classes at the renowned Chicago "Second City" school of comedy to hone her wacky sense of humor.
