Esko teams head into stretch run

It’s been a busy summer so far for the Esko Legion baseball program. As of Tuesday, the Esko senior Legion team sported a 6-4 record while the junior Legion team is 7-3. With playoffs right around the corner, coaches and players alike will be even busier.

“We just went 2-2 this past weekend in the Ely tournament and beat St. Paul-Arcade Phalen 8-3 on Friday, with Dane Hoffman getting the pitching win,” said Esko coach Jim Karnas. “James Legarde had two runs scored and two RBIs for us in the game. That was a nice win for us.”
