History of Hip-Hop 3 p.m. July 26 at the Cloquet library. Celebrate the grand opening of the new skate park in Cloquet with teaching artist DJ Kool Akeim, who will be teaching the history of hip-hop. Participants will examine the emergence of the Four Elements, important creators and innovators, politics and ethics, entrepreneurship vs. commercialization, the divergence of styles, and the flowering worldwide movement in the context of changing technology and new social media.
