The Audubon Center of the North Woods visits the Cloquet library 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2. Come explore what makes falcons, owls, hawks and eagles unique, through games and by meeting three live raptors! For all ages.

The 13th annual Karl Kalli Memorial golf tournament takes place Friday, Aug. 2 at the Cloquet Country Club, starting at 11 a.m. Proceeds go to the Cromwell-Wright sports programs.

Storyteller Rose Arrow- smith DeCoux will present stories of “Brave Girls, Wise Women” at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7 at the Cloquet Public Library and 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10 at the Carlton Area Public Library. Daring heroines reclaim fairytales as fierce, funny, and feminine. The 60-minute program is geared toward ages 7-12; stories will likely be too long for kids under 6, but all ages are welcome.

Refire! luncheon 12-1:15 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13 at the Carlton Wellness Center, 199 Chestnut Ave. in Carlton. Pamela Franklin, RN and parish nurse director, will present “Parish Nursing in the Arrowhead.” Meetings are geared toward adults 55 and over, although everyone is welcome. The Carlton County Historical Society needs volunteers to help greet visitors, sell items and talk about Carlton County history at its machinery building and log cabin at the county fair in Barnum, Aug. 14-19. Volunteers demonstrating period-
