No big surprises (except a hole in one) at Cloquet Country Club Championship

Approximately 60 golfers played in the 2019 Cloquet Country Club Championship Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 10-11.

The winners list includes a host of familiar names including Don McKay, winner of the men's championship for a third time in a row, and Arica Sheff, who won her fourth women's championship in as many years. Also of note, recently graduated high school senior Keegan Poppenberg aced hole No. 4.

All members are invited to play in the annual tournament. The men's tournament has been going on since 1923, the same year the club opened. The women's championship has been around since 194...
