Evelyn R. Buddish, 87, of Scanlon, passed away Sunday, Sept. 22, 2019, at Evergreen Knoll in Cloquet.

She was born July 28, 1932 in Rock Lake, North Dakota to Ambrose and Edna (Rham) Steffer. Evelyn met and married John Buddish on June 6, 1953 in Tamarack, Minnesota. She enjoyed her life to the fullest. She enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling, bowling, and playing Bingo. Evelyn worked at Diamond Brands for 31 years before she retired in 1991.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, John “Jack”; two brothers, Harold and Gordon Steffer; and her parents.

She is survived by two sons, Randall (Debra) and Keith (Diana) Buddish; six grandchildren, Lauran (Patrick) Delancy, Sarah Buddish, Zackary (Mariia) Buddish, Brian (Kaitlin) Buddish, Anna Buddish, and Abe Buddish; and 6 great-grandchildren.

Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, 2019 at Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet, and resuming at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28 until the 11 a.m. funeral service at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Cloquet. Interment service will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, followed by a luncheon in the church social hall.
