Barnum's Daphne Peterson soothes her rooster at the Chicken Swap in Carlton. The rooster then took a nap.

There were chickens. There were also goats, puppies, kittens, rabbits, roosters and even some llamas at Saturday's Chicken Swap in Carlton.

Sponsored by the Carlton Area Chamber of Commerce, the annual event kicks off Carlton's fall season. In addition to all the critters, local farmers had honey, salsa, vegetables, fruits and so much more. Hopefully everyone had a chance to stop and shop for something special.
