'Jacks just keep winning

The Lumberjacks celebrated senior players and their parents Saturday afternoon before the game against the Hermantown Hawks. Seniors on this year's team include Kiana Bender, Hannah Biebl, Madi Vermeersch, Kate Owens and Jaxie Pogorelc.

Three more games meant three more wins this past week for the Cloquet-Carlton girls soccer team, adding up to 13 wins on the season so far.

"I think the team is quietly moving along," said Cloquet-Carlton coach Dustin Randall. "We are cautious, but feel good about our season."

The 'Jacks picked up their 13th win Tuesday by defeating Proctor 2-0. Katie Turner scored the only goal the 'Jacks would need in the 37th minute to give CC the 1-0 lead. In the 54th minute, it was a goal by Kiana Bender with the assist going to Alexa Snesrud to make it 2-0. Defensively the Lumberjacks gave up just o...
