Updated again: Soccer playoffs still going

The Cloquet girls soccer team defeated Two Harbors Saturday in a light snow at Proctor's turf field.

Area soccer teams are rolling through the section playoffs so far.

The Cloquet girls soccer team were seeded No. 2 (after Chisago Lakes) and the Esko girls team was seeded No. 8 in the Section 7A tournament.

The Lumberjacks beat No. 15 Princeton Thursday, to advance to the quarterfinals Saturday and they easily defeated Two Harbors in a light snow at Proctor's Egerdahl Field. The Cloquet girls play No. 3 seed St. Francis High School at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15 at Denfeld's Public School Stadium for the right to advance to Thursday's championship game.

Esko beat Grand Rapids Thursday in Esko. A Saturday game against No. 1 seed Chisago Lakes in a quarterfinal game was rescheduled to

3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14 at Chisago Lakes High School.

The 7A girls championship game is tentatively scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17 at Chisago Lakes High School; however, playoff times and places are subject to change. Check out http://www.mshsl.org for more information.

Boys fall to Hermantown

The Cloquet-Esko-Carlton boys team beat Legacy Christian Academy 3-1 in Andover, Minnesota Thursday. The Lumberjacks then lost advanced to top-seeded Hermantown High School in a Section 7A quarterfinal game Saturday in at Public Schools Stadium in Duluth.
