Girls soccer sections

The Cloquet-Carlton girls team was scheduled to play Chisago Lakes High School in a Section 7A championship game at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17 at North Branch High School. The winner will advance to the Class A girls soccer state tournament. State quarterfinal games will begin between Oct. 22-24, with final schedules and locations to be determined after the seeding process.

Cross country sections

Section 7A and 7AA sections are set for Thursday, Oct. 24 at the Cloquet Country Club Golf Course. The Section 7A girls race begins at 11 a.m. and the boys race will start at 11:45 a.m. The Section 7AA girls race at 3 p.m. and the boys race at 3:45 p.m. The State Meet is Nov. 2 at St. Olaf College, Northfield.

• Fond du Lac Ojibwe plays at South Ridge at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21

• Lakeview Christian plays at ML/WR at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21

• Carlton has a bye and plays at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23

• Cromwell-Wright has a bye and plays at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23
