Obituaries: Blaine Eldon Pearson

Blaine Eldon Pearson, 71, of Carlton passed away Sunday, Oct. 20, 2019.

He was born Nov. 23, 1947, in Carlton to Roy and Tina Pearson. He graduated from Carlton High School in 1965. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 1969. He married his love, Marce, in 1997.

Blaine spent most of his career in the Carlton County engineering department. Hee was a military history and Civil War expert. He served his country in Vietnam from 1969 to 1973.

Blaine was preceded in death by his parents, Tina and Roy Pearson, and aunts Hilda Bergstrom and Lil Runser.

He is survived by his wife, Marce; her son Scott (Sandra Immerman) of St. Paul; granddaughter Ella Pearson, St. Paul; brothers Dale (JoAnne) of Carlton and Don (Bev) of Sahuarita, Arizona; sister Gail Thornton, Moose Lake; cousin Milan (Sandy) Huard, Duluth; and many other cousins and friends.

Visitation: 10 a.m. until the11 a.m. memorial service Saturday, Oct. 26 in Atkins-Northland Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 801 14th Street, Cloquet. Lunch and fellowship will follow in the Fireside Room of the funeral home.
