Winter is on its way. Around here, that also means Nordic ski and ski jumping season will be here soon as well — as soon as enough snow falls.

Families who want to get involved in these winter sports are encouraged to join the Cloquet Ski Club, a non-profit, all volunteer group that operates out of Cloquet’s Pine Valley.

This year’s registration is set for Nov. 19 and Nov. 21, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Pine Valley Ski Chalet, 1106 Olympic Drive (past the hockey shelters) in Cloquet. It’s $30 to join the club, which includes the cross country fee, and an additional $20 for ski jumpi...
