Daniel E. Summers, 65, of Esko passed away Monday, Nov. 4, 2019. He was born Aug. 1, 1954, in Duluth, the son of Jack and Beverly (Erickson) Summers. Dan graduated from Carlton High School in 1972 and then attended the University of Minnesota Duluth. He married Catherine Lolich at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Ashland, Wisconsin on June 14, 1980. Dan worked various jobs, mostly for 30 years at USG in Cloquet, retiring in 2016. He enjoyed bowhunting, fishing, gardening, oil and acrylic painting, and woodcarving.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Michael. He is survived by his wife, Catherine; two sons, Zachary and Benjamin; two sisters, Jackie (Frank) Curtiss and Mary (Tom) Schoen; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
