The Carlton SWCD kicked off a series of free conservation programs for both children and adults in partnership with the Cloquet Public Library Monday. The topic for kids Monday was “The Journey of a Water Drop.”

SWCD will hold a winter maintenance workshop for adults 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, focusing on the issue of excessive use of de-icing salt, and just what can be done to keep our fresh water from becoming salty.
