Happy Mother’s Day. During this time of social distancing, let us take time to honor moms and to show our appreciation for their continued love and support on Sunday.

The first Mother’s Day in the United States was celebrated on May 12, 1908, at the Andrews Methodist Episcopal Church to honor Anna Jarvis’ mother.

Mother’s Day can actually be traced back to the 17th century in England. Mothering Sunday was the fourth Sunday of Lent, and was a special day when rules about fasting and penance were set aside.
