Andrew A. Korkala, age 90 of Cloquet, MN passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at Augustana Care in Moose Lake, MN. He was born October 4, 1929 in Revonlahti, Finland to Eino and Selma Korkala. Andrew served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Korea War. He worked as a welder in construction business and other industrial companies. Andrew loved the outdoors, hunting,

fishing and taking walks.

Andrew as preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Emma and Ellen.

He is survived by his children, Lee Korkala, Mitchell Korkala, Warren (Marsha) Korkala, Kathy McMullen, and Kimberly Korkala Paulson; three sisters, Kathleen (Larry) Lindquist, Barbara (Don) Rowe, and Ann King; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 21, 2020 at the Van Buren Cemetery north of Floodwood. Military Honors will be presented by the Floodwood Honor Guard. Funeral arrangements are with Nelson Funeral Care of Cloquet.
