Renee E. Crotteau, 71, of Cloquet, a resident at Pine Ridge Homes, died peacefully with family at her side July 28, 2020.

The daughter of Harold and Justine (Schake) Crotteau, Renee was born Aug. 26, 1948, in Cloquet.

Renee loved to dress up and to be told she was beautiful. She enjoyed visiting with people, listening to music, and watching birds and all animals. She loved babies and all things beautiful.

Renee was preceded in death by her mother and father, and brother-in-law, Kirk Simi.

She is survived by her brothers, Ken (Vicki) Crotteau, Larry Crotteau, and David (Susan) Crotteau; sisters, Laura Simi and Susan (Richard) Chassé; numerous nieces and nephews; one aunt, Jean Woods; one uncle, Armond Schake; and her Pine Ridge Cedar family.

The family would like to take this time to give a heartfelt thank-you for all the love and care given to Renee by her extended family at Pine Ridge Cedar Home, to Drs. Les Riess and Joanna Robnik, and to the St. Croix Hospice nurses. We truly appreciate each and everyone of you. Because of you, Renee was able to live a life full of happiness, beauty, and comfort.

Celebration of Life: 1:30-4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5 at Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet. Inurnment will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Wright.
