John N. Stumpf, 95, of Esko passed away Aug. 18, 2020.
He was born on May 9, 1925 in Pierz to John T. and Mary (Rauch) Stumpf.
Throughout his life, John enjoyed spending time outdoors on his snowmobile, boating, golfing, fishing, and hunting. He shared his skill and love for hunting with his son and grandsons.
He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather. John was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, seven siblings, and daughter-in-law Carol Stumpf.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Phyllis; his children, son Steven and daughters Paula (Tim) Young and Meredith Stumpf; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and three siblings.
The family would like to thank Essentia Health hospice for the excellent and compassionate care they provided.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
