Sarah Wagemaker powers through a serve during a doubles match against the Superior Spartans Tuesday afternoon in Cloquet.

After suffering a 6-1 loss at the hands of Grand Rapids-Greenway on Monday, the Cloquet-Esko-Carlton girls tennis team rallied for a solid home win against Superior on Tuesday.

Against GRG the lone CEC win came at No. 3 singles when Addie Loeb rallied from a set down to beat Emily Hill 2-6, 6-3, 6-3.

Despite losing the rest of the matches, the Lumberjacks nearly won four other matches including Lydia Stone at No. 4 singles to Abby Gustafson 7-6 (7-4), 6-3 and CEC's No. 1 doubles team of Kylie McKeon and Brynn Martin dropping a 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 decision to the team of Jordan Troumbly and Courtn...
