Local veterans organizations are being coronavirus-cautious while still observing Veterans Day on Wednesday, Nov. 11 with free meals to-go for veterans.

• Cloquet VFW Post 3979 is offering a turkey dinner from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 11 while supplies last. Pickup only, in the VFW parking lot. No charge to veterans with military ID. Others: $10 each. Sponsored by the Cloquet American Legion Auxiliary with help from the Cloquet VFW Auxiliary.

• Carlton VFW Post 2962 Veterans Day will have roast beef dinner starting at 5 p.m. Nov. 11. To-go meals served by the VFW Auxiliary. No charge to veterans with DD Form 214. Others, $8 each, $5/age 12 and under. To sign up, stop by or call the Carlton VFW at 218-384-3794.
