Obituaries: Linda Dahl

Linda Dahl, 68, of Wrenshall died Dec. 26, 2020, at Essentia St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth following a long battle with Covid.

She was born Jan. 16, 1952,to Ervine and Helen (McMillen) Laubach in Cloquet.

Linda married Gary Dahl on Aug. 19, 1972. After a long-standing career, she retired as the Postmaster in Carlton. Linda was a hardworking person and loved to visit with customers during her working years. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Carlton. Linda loved living on their hobby farm tending to all the animals, even looking after other animals on occasion. Some of her other interests included gardening, hunting, fishing, and visiting with friends. She was the kind of person who was always there for you, a proud mother, and grandmother. Linda would be seen at her grandchildren's sporting events and was extremely generous with her time.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Gary; her children, Kimberly Dahl, Ryan Dahl and Stephanie (Aaron) Wilson; her grandchildren, Alexander and Haillee; mother-in-law, Lorraine Dahl; her siblings, Rob (Tatiana Malenofski) Laubach, Larry and Jim Laubach, Pat (Cliff) Brister, Nancy Hartland, and Eugenie (Rich Sim) Trow; brother-in-law, Duane (Sharon) Dahl; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was scheduled for 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Thursday, Dec. 31 at Nelson Funeral Care, with a parking lot broadcast on 91.1 FM. Interment will be in Silverbrook Cemetery in Wrenshall. In lieu of flowers please direct memorials to Animal Allies Humane Society, 4006 Airport Road, Duluth MN 55811.
