The St. Scholastica men’s track and field team won four event titles the March 13 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Men’s Indoor Championship, with two Carlton County grads playing a role in the fourth win of the day.

Esko High School grad Lucas Bourgeault and Cloquet grad Isaac Boedigheimer were part of a distance medley team which finished first in a race composed of four relay legs of varying distance, starting off with a 1,200-meter leg and followed by 400-, 800- and 1,600-meter legs. Boedigheimer ran the 1,600-meter leg and Bourgeault ran the 400-meter portion. The relay team also included Devon Byers of Ironwood, Michigan and Nathan Smoller of Montpelier, Vermont; they finished in a time of 11:14.01.
