Students at Cloquet's Washington Elementary had a change drive this spring. The Student Advisory Team members (third- and fourth- graders shown here) decided about a month ago that they wanted to organize and lead a change drive as a service project for the school. The students voted on donating proceeds to the B&B food train. In three weeks the students collected $1,611.74, with kindergarten leading the way with more than $500. John and Kim Lind from B&B as well as Deanna Wisneski from Northwoods Credit Union, which supported the change drive by sorting and counting all the coins. Northwoods also added $150, boosting the grand total to $1,761.74.
