The drug REGEN- COV, a monoclonal antibody therapy used in treatment of Covid- 19 infection and post- exposure preventive treatment, is available at Community Memorial Hospital. The drug is indicated for use in adult patients or pediatric patients 12 and older who meet the following criteria:

They have confirmed Covid- 19 infection with mild to moderate severity of symptoms and are at high risk for progressing to severe disease, hospitalization or death.

They can also have had significant exposure to an individual infected with Covid- 19. These individuals should be considered at high risk of the disease progressing to severe Covid- 19 and who are not fully vaccinated or not expected to produce an adequate immune response to the vaccination. These individuals are eligible to receive REGEN- COV as a post- exposure treatment measure.

Patients who believe they are candidates for REGEN- COV should seek treatment as soon as possible to keep the disease from progressing. It is available for non- hospitalized patients. If you feel these situations apply to you, contact your physician.
