Karen Renee Laine, 51 years young, of Cloquet passed away Nov. 12, 2021 at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth. She was born Jan. 16, 1970 to Paul and Mary (Carrillo) Cronic in Fort Hood, Texas. Karen loved to cook, especially family Mexican dishes, do arts and crafts, and her fingernails, and play bingo with friends. She enjoyed watching "General Hospital," home improvement shows, family sitcoms, crime dramas and football. Karen always took care of her sons and husband. She loved all her family and friends so much she would do anything she could do for them and would not take no for an answer. Karen will be sadly missed but proudly remembered.

Karen's son, Connor Laine, passed away Nov. 15. She is survived by her parents; her loving husband, Bernie; her son Chad Laine; her brother, Brian (Kristie) Cronic; her sister, Paula (Gerald Ortiz) Cronic; her special friend, PCA and sister from another mister, Allison Dusek; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles and aunts, friends and coworkers.
