Obituary: Judith Helen Burshten

Judith Helen Burshten, 80, of Cloquet, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021, at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth. She was born March 22, 1941, in St. Paul to Willard and Ruby Borst. She was a 1959 graduate of Richfield High School.

She attended the Northwestern School of Nursing and was a licensed practical nurse at Northwestern Hospital. She retired as the school nurse from Little Black Bear Elementary School in Cloquet.

She was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Esko and was the head of the altar guild.

Judith was preceded in death by her parents.

She will be sadly missed by her husband, Norman of Cloquet; son, Robert Duke of St. Paul; daughter, Nancy (Todd) Janke of Canton, Michigan; six grandchildren: Matthew, Olivia, Natalie, Nolan and Nathan Janke, and Marlena (Ricky) Svacina; one great-granddaughter, Genevieve; brothers, Richard Borst of Bloomington and Kenneth (Rae) Borst of Walker, Minnesota; sister, Barbara (Nick) Cookas of Burnsville; and nieces and nephews.
