Obituary: Marilyn Ann Tvedt

Marilyn A. Tvedt, 80, of Wrenshall passed away Dec. 7, 2021, at Community Memorial Hospital in Cloquet. She was born Sept. 11, 1941, in McGregor, the daughter of Helmer and Mabel (Patrick) Johnson.

Marilyn graduated from McGregor High School and two years of X-ray technician training at the Duluth Clinic. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Tvedt on Jan. 20, 1962, at Zion Lutheran Church in Cloquet. Marilyn worked at the Duluth Clinic, and also for the Moose Lake State Hospital, later the Minnesota Correctional Facility, for 30 years. She was a member of Elim Lutheran Church in Blackhoof Township, and enjoyed sewing, gardening, and especially spending time with her family.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; one granddaughter, Alyssa Glumac; and brothers, Robert, John and Ralph Johnson. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; children, Michelle (Keith) Standridge, Deanna (Stan) Glumac, Marcie (Scott) Edin, and Jeff (Wendi) Tvedt; grandchildren Lauren Oster, Mikayla Oster, Nick (Kayla) Glumac, Alyson (Tyler) Burggraff, Kyle (Katrina) Tvedt, Kory Tvedt and Kody Tvedt; great-grandchildren, Ariana Thomas and Madeline Tvedt; sister, Arlene (Jerome) Scherber; sisters-in-law, Anita Johnson,

Kathy Johnson and Cheryl Johnson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation: 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. memorial service Sunday, Dec. 12 at Elim Lutheran Church in Blackhoof Township. A luncheon and time of fellowship will follow in the church social hall. Arrangements are with Nelson Funeral Care of Cloquet.
