Obituary: David Anthony Anderson

David Anthony Anderson, 79, of Carlton, passed away at his home Jan. 22, 2022.

David was born Jan. 2, 1943, in Duluth to Herbert and Mildred (Hunter) Anderson. He was raised in Duluth, graduated from Central High School, and worked as a custodian for 28 years at St. Mary's Hospital.

David was an active fisherman and bowler. He is lovingly remembered as a caring and loving human being, who was willing to help anyone in need. He was a big man with a huge heart, and he will be missed.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred and Herbert, and his brother Herbert "Andy" Anderson. He is survived by Dianna, his wife of 32 years; his brother, Robert Anderson; his son, Paul Anderson; daughters, Elizabeth Maire and Jessica Eberl; grandchildren, Logan, Jordan, Chloe, Breanna, Alaina, Blake, Chad, Breanna, Kasey, Gage, Brittney, Steph, Liam and Gabriella; great-grandchildren Everett, Avery, Emberly, Lila and Elliot; stepchildren, Nora, Denise (Brian), and Theresa (Erik); and many step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled in the spring. Arrangements are being provided by Whispering Pines Funeral & Cremation Service serving northern Minnesota.
