Duane Carl Johnson, 59, of Cloquet passed away Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022, in his home. He was born Nov. 8, 1962, in Cloquet to Carl and Janet (Koski) Johnson. He was raised in Barnum and graduated from high school there in 1981. He attended Duluth Area Vocational Technical Institute. Duane married Tammie Johnson on Oct. 31, 1999.

He served in the U.S. Navy November of 1987 to November of 1990. He was a truck driver for the Michels pipeline and worked for CAP Trico and Moses Chevrolet. He loved fishing, hunting and camping.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Johnson.

Duane will be missed by his wife Tammie; mother Janet Johnson; daughter Katherine Johnson; brothers Danny, David and Darrell; sisters-in-law Kathy and Karin; nephews James, Jason, Jeremiah and Eli; nieces Sarah, Claire, Zoe and Anja; and many cousins.

There will be no services. Burial will be in Atkinson Community Cemetery in the spring and a date and time will be published at that time.
