Thomas "Tom" Robert Wagemaker, 79, of Cloquet passed away Feb. 18, 2022, with family by his side.

Tom was born Oct. 20, 1942, in Olivia to Thomas J. and Dorothy (Bartholet) Wagemaker. Tom graduated from Olivia High School in 1960 and then attended the College of St. Thomas in 1961 and 1962. He received his master of science degree in civil engineering and master's degree in business administration from the University of Minnesota. Tom worked as a civil engineer in

California for four years, finishing his career working for the Minnesota Department of Transportation for 32 years. Tom raised his family in Cannon Falls, Minnesota and lived there for 41 years before moving to Cloquet in 2017. Tom loved the Lord, his family, nature, traveling, golfing, coin collecting, and was always looking to learn new things throughout his entire life.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents; and by his wife, Judith (Naeve) Wagemaker, in 1996. He is survived by his son Mark (Liz) Wagemaker; daughter Ann Wagemaker; brother James (Linda) Wagemaker; sister Mary Joanne (Darrel) Grabow; grandchildren Angie (Justin) Brennan, Judy (Fauston) Wirtz, Luke and Sarah; and great-granddaughter Ellie.

A Celebration of Life for Tom was held Friday, March 4, with family at Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet.
