Michael “Mike” P. Osterman, 76, of Esko passed away April 22, 2022, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth. He was born July 5, 1945, the son of Byron and Arlene (Knaack) Osterman. Mike graduated from Esko High School and worked as a driver for the U.S. Postal Service. He enjoyed fishing, collecting — especially old cars — and delivered food for neighbors, family, and friends during the Covid pandemic.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew, Matthew Osterman. He is survived by his children Michael (Deanna) Ash and Deanna (Mark) Moulton; two sisters, Jonell Osterman and Cheryl (Kenny) Entner; three grandchildren, Nicholas Ash, Thomas Roach and Charles Ash; one nephew, Jason (Angella) Osterman; one niece, Bonnie (Josh) Bernhardson; nine great-nieces and great-nephews; and many good friends.

A Celebration of Life for Mike will be held Saturday, May 14 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., with a Time of Sharing starting at 1:30 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet. Burial will be held in Round Lake Cemetery at a future date.
