Former Cloquet High School football player Markus Pokornowski has signed to play football with the University of Minnesota Duluth football team. In doing so, Pokornowski will join his older brother, Tim, as a Bulldog.

Markus signed with UMD following a tryout earlier this month. During his playing days in Cloquet, Pokornowski was a running back and a linebacker.

Tim was a starter last season until he was injured early in the campaign. He is projected to start in his final season for the Bulldogs in the defensive backfield. He’s also a member of the university’s baseball team.
