Seppo Erkki Lipponen, 85, of Cloquet passed away Thursday, Aug. 25, 2022, in Community Memorial Hospital. He was born Oct. 21, 1936, in Oulu, Finland to Eino and Asta Lipponen. He married Adelia Mikkola on Aug. 25, 1973, in Cloquet. Seppo was a heavy equipment operator, Local 49, for Hoover Construction until retiring.

Seppo was preceded in death by his sisters, Maija Liisa Pesu and Riita Kaisa Youngquist, and his nephew Jussi Pesu. He will be missed by his wife, Adelia, of Cloquet; sons, Roy (Barbara), David and Eric (Becca); daughter, Nancy (Peter) Moukas; two brothers, Eino (Mary Ann) and Lauri (Cindy); grandchildren, Kristin, Justin, Thomas, Olivia, Melissa, Andrew and Kenzie; great-grandchildren, Camden and Ava; and nieces, nephew and cousins.
