Obituary: Betty Arlene Kubis

Betty Arlene Kubis, 88, of Saginaw passed away Sunday, Sept. 18, 2022 in Community Memorial Hospital in Cloquet. She was born Oct. 3, 1933 in Wimbledon, North Dakota to Edward and Anna Christ. She married Arthur Kubis on May 9, 1952. Betty was a homemaker and also worked in a grocery store as a meat wrapper. She enjoyed her farm in Saginaw.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Art; and brother, Edward.

Betty will be deeply missed by her family. She is survived by her children, Ron “Bucky” Kubis and Donna (Rick) Maki both of Saginaw, two special grandchildren, Jennifer (Dewey) Johnson of Saginaw and Jason (Kristina) Maki of Saginaw; special great grandchildren, Madison, Kaitlin Parker and Dawson; her twin sister, Barbara Sizer of Jamestown, N.D., special friend, Roy Jerde; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service, Saturday, Sept. 24, in Atkins Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th Street, Cloquet. A luncheon will follow the service.
