From 1600-1750, the musical style was considered radical — highly decorated, exaggerated, and dramatic. The Lyra Baroque Orchestra, based in St. Paul, is one of the most respected early music ensembles. The musicians play on authentic period instruments, bringing a rare freshness and spirit to this glorious music.
