Obituary: Edward Lee "Ed" Gotzh

March 24, 2023

Edward Lee "Ed" Gotzh, 57, passed away in Springdale, Arkansas surrounded by family on March 18, 2023. He was born in Cloquet to Gerald "Jerry" and Phyllis Gotzh.

Ed's career as a professional truck driver started in 1984. He worked in Hibbing and Duluth, later moving to Minneapolis, where he worked for ABF Freight for several years. In 2007 he moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas, and worked as a contract driver for FedEx.

Growing up in Minnesota, Ed enjoyed the outdoors and especially the yearly walleye fishing trips. Whether fish were caught or not, it was always a fun time. His passionate, adventurous and mischievous nature showed early with dirt bikes and fast cars. Eventually, he found a love for riding. A smile would always appear when he talked about one of his Harleys, and it was pure happiness to his soul when he rode.

Ed is survived by his daughters, Brianna and Kelsey Gotzh; parents, Gerald and Phyllis Gotzh; brother, Matt Graif; sister, Paula (Jim) Anderson; and many other family members and friends.

A family service will be held this summer to honor and celebrate Ed's life.
