Former judge turned author presents at Finnish American Historical Society

The Minnesota Finnish American Historical Society presents “An Evening with Mark Munger.” Munger is a former Duluth judge, columnist for the Finnish American Reporter, and the author of the Finnish American Trilogy (Suomalaiset; Sukulaiset; and Kotimaa). He will be speaking at the Kenwood Lutheran Church (2720 Myers Ave., Duluth) at 5 p.m. May 18. The program will include Mark discussing his two most recent books: “Kulkuri (Vagabond) and Other Short Stories” (short fiction), and “Duck and Cover: Things Learned Waiting for the Bomb” (a memoir) including the differences between writing fiction and nonfiction and aspects of self-publishing.
