Cloquet football honored its seniors last week at the only home game of the season. They head into playoffs Tuesday.
Carlton County teams head into playoffs this week. Here is a schedule of the games we know about.
7AAAA: Cloquet (5 seed) at Grand Rapids (No. 4) at 7 pm Tuesday, Oct. 24
7AAA: Undefeated Esko gets a bye Tuesday. Esko will play either Proctor or Pierz (they play Tuesday) at 2 pm Saturday, Oct. 28 at home.
7AA: Undefeate4d Barnum (1) hosts Greenway/Nashwauk (8) at 6 pm Tuesday, Oct. 24 and No. 2 seed ML/WR hosts Hinckley-Finlayson (7) at 6 pm Tuesday, Oct. 24. If they win, the next games are Oct. 28, with the championship (possibly against each other) at 6 pm Nov. 2 at Esko.
Section 5 9-man: Carlton/Wrenshall (No. 7) plays at No. 2 seed Ogilvie, 6 pm Tuesday, Oct. 24. No. 3 seed Cromwell-Wright Area plays at 6 pm Tuesday, Oct. 24, at home against No. 6 seed Bertha-Hewitt. The winners of those two games will play in a semifinal game at 2 pm Saturday, Oct. 28.
