Christmas festival concert 3 p.m., Cloquet Presbyterian Church, with the Presbyterian and Zion choirs. Donations accepted for local food needs. Presented by the Concert on 4th Series, sponsored by the Luukkonen Legacy Legacy Fund.

Senior dance with Two for the Road 1-4 p.m. at the Cloquet VFW, 210 Arch Street. Potluck. $9 cover charge.

MONDAY, DEC. 11

Smear League meets 2-5 p.m. the first four Mondays at the Cloquet VFW. $5, winnings for first, second and

third place.

WEDNESDAY, DEC. 13

The Autumn Voices singing group performs at the 2:15 p.m. Lights of Love tree lighting ceremony at Community Memorial Hospital, in the Riverside Café.

Wood City Quilters meets at 6 p.m. the second Wednesday of the month at the Cloquet library. Guest speakers, community service projects. All quilters welcome.

Carlton County Trailblazers luncheon, Cloquet VFW, 210 Arch St. 11 a.m. social hour, 12 p.m. ribs and sauerkraut lunch, $15. Reservations requested, call 218-210-7793. Guest speaker Courtney Dietsche of the Cloquet Library will talk about the wide range of free services it provides. All men and women 55 and up are welcome.

The City of Carlton council meets at 6 p.m. the second Wednesday of the month. The public is welcome to attend. The meetings are held at the city offices in the old civic center building. Call the city at 218-384-4229 for more information.
