The holiday season is not going as planned in the small town of Fayro, Texas, as a church Christmas program spins out of control and Santa Claus is surly. Find out more in the County Seat Theater's production of the comedy "Christmas Belles," which runs Dec. 7-10 and Dec. 13 and Dec. 15-17.

County Seat Theater Company gets in on the holiday action this month with a side-splitting journey to a small town in Texas in "Christmas Belles." A church Christmas program spins hilariously out of control in this Southern farce about squabbling sisters, family secrets, a surly Santa, a vengeful sheep and a reluctant Elvis impersonator.

Numerous shows are already sold out, so getting tickets now will ensure a seat. The County Seat Theater Company will present local performances of "Christmas Belles" at the Encore Performing Arts Center in Cloquet at 7 p.m. Dec. 7-9, 13 and 15; and at 2 p.m. Dec. 10, 16 and 17. Tickets can be reserved online at http://www.countyseattheater.com or by calling 218-878-0071.

Prior to the show, audience members can stroll through the art gallery and view art from local artists. This production has featured works of art by Claudia Faith. There will be an art opening 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, at the Encore.
