Donations help with fire prevention

Board members at its May 15 CAFD meeting voted to accept a $650 donation from Northwoods Credit Union. The funds are earmarked for the district’s community risk reduction programs, which include home safety visits and smoke and carbon monoxide alarm installation. That program also received a donation of batteries for smoke alarms from L&M Fleet Supply.
