Moose Lake prisoner dies

Officials are investigating the death of a 39-year-old man found in his cell at Minnesota Correctional Facility - Moose Lake.

According to a news release, an incarcerated man reported to staff that a cellmate appeared to be unresponsive in their room at 10:40 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17. Corrections staff immediately responded and initiated life-saving measures, without success. The circumstances surrounding the man’s death remain an active investigation.
