Residents in Albert Lea have formed walking groups to connect socially while exercising as part of the Blue Zones project to enhance longevity. The southern Minnesota city was a test site for Blue Zones in 2009 and similar efforts have sprouted across the country. Now Carlton County is testing interest in creating a Blue Zones initiative here.
